Programs
Wilderness Inquiry's Adventure Leadership Program (ALP) is for young adults of all backgrounds and abilities, including those with disabilities, between the ages of 13 and 18. ALP is designed to teach inclusive leadership techniques, enhance social competence, and introduce and practice outdoor skills. Youth in the program experience the power of learning to be leaders in the wilderness and in life.
Wilderness Inquiry conducts numerous activities throughout Minnesota serving more than 7,000 people annually. Activities include canoeing on the Mississippi, St. Croix and Namekagen Rivers. WI conducts free outdoor clinics for people on lakes such as Calhoun, Nokomis, and Phalen. These events introduce hundreds of families and people with disabilities to outdoor activities such as canoeing, kayaking, dogsledding and cross country skiing.
